Hosted by members of the Tribe of Ralph, the Bi-Annual Bredehoeft Family Reunion was held Saturday, August 8, 2009, at the Tri-City Country Club in Emma, Missouri.

Click here for a slide show of pictures from the day.

There were some very nice items available for the silent auction.  Thanks to all who donated them and purchased them to benefit the family treasury to help offset the costs for future reunions.

The 18" x 24" framed Bredehft/Bredehoeft family crest is still for sale.  To read about the crest, click here.  To keep from transporting it back and forth from Texas to Missouri, Rodney Lorenz agreed to store it at his home in Concordia for the time being.  Several family members have indicated an interest in buying the framed crest.  Thus, an on-line auction will be conducted.  The starting bid must be $50.00 or more; succeeding bids must be at least $5.00 higher than the previous bid.  Please email your bids to JoyceK210@sbcglobal.net; I will then post them below.  Bids will close at 3:00 P.M. (CDT), Saturday, October 17, 2009...PLEASE NOTE THE CHANGED TIME!   The winning bidder will be responsible for getting the framed crest from Rodney Lorenz in Concordia MO.

The anonymous winner of the bid can now be named!

Mike Williamson, Peace River, Alberta, Canada

presented the crest to his parents, Jackie and Jim Williamson, on Christmas Day, 2009.  Jackie has suffered several strokes but was visibly pleased at her son's thoughtfulness in sharing a part of her history.  Jackie is the daughter of Dela Tomlinson Randol, granddaughter of Lena Steinkuehler, and great-granddaughter of Jacob and Margaretha.

Although our numbers were smaller this year, I think everyone had a good time.

The 2011 reunion will be hosted by members of the Tribe of Ted -- I'm looking forward to seeing everyone again!
